Consignment fees are considerably lower than those of auction houses.

Valuation

A quick valuation service is available - free of charge - on paintings brought to the gallery. In this case, the valuation is in unwritten form.
Written valuations for insurance, succession (death duties) and sales may be provided depending on the situation. This service is not free of charge.

Restoration Services

Hoogsteder & Hoogsteder provide advice on restoration free of charge provided the painting is shown at the gallery.

Advice on Purchases

Hoogsteder & Hoogsteder attend leading auction houses, galleries and art fairs all over the world. They therefore are able to provide independent expert advice based on first hand inspection to individuals and museums considering to purchase at these companies.

Art-Historical Research

Hoogsteder & Hoogsteder employ several art historians. Since Old Master paintings are often unsigned, thorough art-historical research is required to establish the identity of the artist. Hoogsteder & Hoogsteder offer research expertise at competitive rates to private individuals.
