Before applying the new interlining, the canvas was coated with a layer of adhesive paste. Thin layers of glue and BEVA371 were pasted on either side of the polyester lining and the canvas, which were then allowed to dry for 48 hours to allow the volatile solutions in the solvents to evaporate.
